In this Episode-1 of our Blogger Diaries we interviewed an interesting Food blogger with a flare to Travel and explore destinations - MEET the talk of the Town - SURAJ DEY.
Suraj brings in a fresh sustainability perspective to food blogging which is still in the early stages in India. His articles published on the FASTTalks blog Platform are the way forward in the world of Culinary Tourism, which aims to support local food while traveling and avoid branded restaurants while experiencing the destinations we travel and be respectful towards the local flavors and culture.
Here we present the Q & A session we had with SURAJ :
1. Can you tell our readers about yourself and your blogging Journey?
Answer: To describe myself I am just a regular guy from Dimapur, Nagaland who happens to have this massive love for cooking and traveling. I quit my full-time job just to discover about food and different cuisines and in that journey, I came across FASTTalks.in and that’s how basically my blogging journey started.
2. Do you prefer traveling for stories or do research online before writing your article?
Answer: I try to travel as much as I can for I believe to write it well you have to experience it on a first-hand basis. I cross-check the Internet for places to eat and what hot happening around.
3. Would you love to communicate with your followers/readers?
Answer: Well I started this journey of writing to discover people and their stories. So, it will be very kind if my followers and readers communicate with me and write to me.
4. What was the most challenging moment in your blogging journey so far?
Answer: As a starter in this world of blogging, I believe I am yet to face a challenging moment. Finding the right words to describe the right vibe gets hard in time, one wrong word and I think it kills the whole mood for the reader.
5. Who takes the majority of your photos? (Do you do it yourself or do you hire professionals?)
Answer: I try to take as much as photos I can myself or in time I buy it from independent photographers of the Internet or visit local studios.
6. Have you met anyone interesting/famous on your blogging journey so far? (for validation purpose kindly share images in JPEG format as attachments.)
